Raina tweeted, “What happened in Punjab with my family is beyond terrible.” My uncle was murdered. Both my aunt and my cousin were seriously injured. Unfortunately my cousin also died last night while struggling for life. My aunt’s condition is critical and she is on life support. ”
Raina wrote in another tweet, “To this day, we do not know what exactly happened that night and who did it?” I appeal to the Punjab Police to investigate the matter. At least let us know who committed this heinous crime. Those criminals should not be spared for committing further crimes. ”In the tweet, he has also tagged Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and CMO Punjab.
Significantly, in the Pathankot district of Punjab, Suresh Raina’s aunt’s house was attacked in Punjab, in which 58-year-old Ashoka Kumar, his uncle, was killed, four family members were injured. After receiving this information, Raina went back home to play IPL in Dubai. Based on the initial information, the police had said that Ashok Kumar and his family members were attacked by a gang of ‘Kale Kachchewala’ dacoits. At that time, they were all sleeping on the roof of the house. Ashok Kumar died on the spot due to head injury while four others were injured.
