A fire broke out in the ICU ward of a hospital in Pune, Maharashtra this afternoon. According to the news agency, three fire brigades have reached the spot after getting information about the incident and relief work is going on.
At the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital in Pune Cantonment area, there is no report of any hospital employee and patient being injured. This hospital is about 150 km from Mumbai.

According to the media report, the fire officer has told that an employee whose PPE was on fire ran out of the ward but the fire quickly spread throughout the ward. At the time of the accident, about 45 patients were admitted to the 50-bed ICU hospital.
