Many state governments are against the decision of the central government to conduct JEE and NEET examinations during the Corona period. After West Bengal and Congress-ruled states, the Odisha government is also in favor of postponing the examination of NEET and JEE. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has spoken to Narendra Modi over phone and has requested to postpone these exams. According to the news agency, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today spoke to Narendra Modi over phone. Meanwhile, CM Patnaik requested PM Modi to postpone the NEET and JEE examinations in view of the corona virus situation and floods in many parts of the state.

Explain that the National Testing Agency i.e. NTA had clarified on Tuesday that NEET and JEE examinations will not be postponed and will be on schedule. NTA officials said that NEET and JEE examinations will be conducted in September itself. Actually, due to the Corona epidemic, there is a demand to postpone these examinations, but the government has made it clear that the examinations will be held on time.

Neet and JEE examinations were also discussed in a meeting with the Chief Ministers of non-BJP states led by Sonia Gandhi and Mamta Banerjee on Wednesday. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suggested going to the Supeem Court to postpone the examination due to the situation prevailing in the country regarding Kovid-19.

Chief Ministers of seven states attended this meeting. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanasamy, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh Patel were all in this meeting and all these neet And said to postpone the examination of JEE.
