Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched the ‘Transparent Taxation – Honor for the Faithful’ platform. The government has launched it to improve and simplify the tax system. On this occasion, PM Modi said that the taxpayers will feel free from the launch of the new platform. He said that the process of structural reforms going on in the country has reached a new stage today. This new system of 21st century tax system has been launched today. PM Modi said that honest taxpayer plays a big role in nation building.
The Prime Minister also announced a Charter (Charter) for taxpayers. He called on the countrymen to go ahead and pay taxes with honesty. He said that in a country of 130 crore people, only 1.5 crore people pay taxes.
In this event organized through video conferencing, the Prime Minister said that now the tax system is becoming faceless, it is giving fairness and a trust to the taxpayer. He said, ‘The facility of faceless appeal in tax cases will be available for citizens across the country from 25th September i.e. Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s birthday.
PM Modi said, ‘The system of returns to refunds has been made completely online. The new slab system that has come in has freed us from needlessly collecting papers and documents. He said that along with the complexities of the procedures, the tax in the country has also been reduced. Tax is now zero on income of five lakh rupees. The tax has also come down in the remaining slabs. We are one of the lowest tax consuming countries in the world in terms of corporate tax.
Prime Minister Modi said, ‘New systems starting from today, new facilities – minimum government, further strengthen our commitment to maximum governance. This is a big step in the direction of reducing the government’s interference with the life of the countrymen.
He said that now the atmosphere in the country is becoming that all the work has to be done while keeping the sense of duty paramount. The question is, how is change coming? Reform for us means that the reform should be policy based, not piecemeal, one reform, the basis of another reform and the path to new reform. It is not that once he was reformed and stopped. It is a continuous, continuous process.

Earlier, PM Modi tweeted on Wednesday, ‘Transparent taxation – Honoring the honest’ platform will be launched on Thursday, August 13 at 11 am. This will further strengthen efforts to improve and simplify our tax system. This will be beneficial for many honest taxpayers whose hard work empowers the country to move forward. ‘
Finance Minister said important steps
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman wrote on Twitter, ‘In fact, this will be an important step towards providing a simple and transparent taxation system for India’. According to an official statement released on Wednesday, various industry boards, trade organizations, chartered accountants associations and well-known taxpayers have participated in the event being organized through video conferencing.
