There is not much time left in the start of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The IPL is to begin in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 19 September. The IPL was shifted to the UAE only in view of the ever increasing cases of Kovid-19 in India. Australian players may join their franchise teams in the IPL with a slight delay. At the time of the initial matches of the IPL, the Australian team is going on a tour of England. Meanwhile, Australia’s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has chosen his best IPL XI and the shocking thing is that Rohit Sharma, the most successful captain of the IPL, is not named among these 11 players.

Maxwell has selected Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli as the opener, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni among the list of these 11 players. CSK has won three IPL titles under Dhoni’s captaincy, while RCB has not won any titles under Virat’s captaincy. Mumbai Indians have won four titles under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, but have not found a place in Maxwell’s list of 11 players.

This year, Kings XI Punjab bought Glenn Maxwell for Rs 10.75 crore. As four foreign players, Maxwell has chosen David Warner, AB de Villiers, himself and Andre Russell. He has not included any overseas players in the bowling attack. Glenn Maxwell’s Best IPL XI is something like – David Warner, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Suresh Raina, Glenn Maxwell, Andre Russell, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Mohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jaspreet Bumrah.
