India will take on Bangladesh in the final of SAFF Under-18 Football Championship 2019 in Kathmandu today. The match will start at 2.45 PM IST.
In the semi finals India crushed Maldives 4-0, while Bangladesh defeated Bhutan by 4-0. India had played Bangladesh in its tournament opener which was ended goalless. Expressing confidence in his boys Indian Head Coach Floyd Pinto said it has been a wonderful tournament and team’s penetration has been good.
He said that a moment of brilliance can finish proceedings in the final, hence would like to focus on decision making. Indian goalkeeper and captain for this tournament Prabshukhan Singh Gill will not play in the final as he had suffered an injury in the first match.
However Gill said there are a lot of leaders in the team and it doesn’t matter who plays or who sits out. He also said team has prepared well for the final and intend to carry on the momentum.
