The Indian Army has asked Pakistan to take back the bodies of five Pak soldiers who were shot dead in Jammu and Kashmir’s Keran sector.

The five men of Pakistan’s Border Action Team or BAT were killed while they were trying to infiltrate into India and strike a forward post in the Keran sector.

Pak Army has not yet responded to the Indian Army’s offer to retrieve army personnel or Border Action Team terrorists that are lying near Line of Control in Keran Sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district since last evening.

Indian Army last evening offered to Pakistan Army to retrieve the bodies of their personnel in Keran Sector for last rites and there was no response to the offer till now.

Indian Army said that it foiled an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team on a forward post along the LoC in Keran Sector, killing at least five to seven intruders comprising of Pakistani regulars and terrorists.

Reacting to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP Spokesperson Shahnawaz Husain said that the people of J&K need not panic as the Government is concerned about the developments there and so paramilitary forces have been sent there. He added that people should not pay heed to rumors spread by Congress and PDP.
