Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda called on Nepal’s Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli in Kathmandu on Friday.

During the meeting, Deve Gowda congratulated Mr. Oli for successfully hosting the 4th BIMSTEC Summit in Kathmandu last week.

Recalling Nepalese Prime Minister Oli’s official visit to India in April this year, Deve Gowda said the visit has taken India Nepal relations to a new height.

On this occasion, Oli said that high-level visits between the two countries have further deepened bilateral relations.

Oli also pointed out that visits of the two Prime Ministers have helped in forging cooperation between the two neighbors in the areas of waterways, railways, and agriculture.

Deve Gowda also met former Prime Ministers of Nepal including Madhav Kumar Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba and Baburam Bhattarai.

Deve Gowda also offered prayer at famous Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu. He left to India in the evening.
